complications

i am twenty years old and i just recently found out that i am 14 weeks pregnant with my first baby and that my baby may die. the doctor said that the baby has a cyst on its neck fluid in the chest and abdomen and that my amniotic fluid is low. he said that there was nothing he could do so we had the choice between doing nothing aborting the pregnancy or seeing another doctor. he was trying to lean us twords aborting the pregnancy but i just cant to that without knowing I've done all i can to try and save it please help me i don't know what to do.

I think you best bet like the other women have said, I would be going and getting a 2 & 3rd opinion...A close family friend of mine was told that her son was going to be born with Downs and that her best option was to abort she went to 3 different doctors and was told the baby was fine, and he is and was fine...You can NEVER trust just one...So for your sake seek a 2 or 3rd doctor to really make sure...Good Luck to you, and like another poster said keep us posted...Your in my thoughts...

I would most DEFINATELY go see another doctor, one that is not associated with the first one.  If it's possible a third opinion would be best as well.  

If *I* were in your shoes, I would NOT abort, regardless of what doctors say.  Doctors CAN and have been wrong.  While it IS possible that your baby may not survive, there is also a chance that s/he may survive.  I would have faith that God knows what he is doing and leave it in HIS capable hands.  Then, whatever the outcome, you will know for certain.  You won't have to wonder "If I hadn't aborted, would my baby have survived?"  

At the very least, see what a couple of other doctors recommend before you make your decision.  When it comes to such a serious diagnosis you should NEVER just take one doctors word for it.
