could this be it?

So it started early morning around 2am I woke up to go pee. When I laid back down I got these cramps as though I was going to start my period. They were consistent every like 15 minutes then stopped but it went on to about 5am. Now this morning around 8 they started again. Could this be signs of labor? No mucus plug yet just back pain and lower abdominal pain.

Make sure youre timing from stsrt of one to start of the next. Call your dr so they have a heads up and when they are ever 5 minutes or you can not walk or talk through them anymore you need to go to the hospital or if your water breaks.

Thank you! I went for a walk and I'm trying to just let them run their course just don't know what to expect since this is my first pregnancy.

Get walking! It will help get your contractions stronger and closer together! Good luck! Keep us posted

That's how my labor started. But don't go to the hospital until your water breaks or they get less than 5 minutes apart or they'll just send you home and tell you to come back when they get closer together. That's what happened to me. I went in at 6:30 am cause I was having horrible period cramps (small contractions)  They weren't even hardly showing up on the monitor and they weren't close enough together. They sent me home. I had them all throughout the day. Then around 9 they started hurting worse and were 4 minutes apart.  so I got in the shower and let the hot water run on my back. It helped some but not much. Then when I got out and dried off I laid down and then my water broke. I went to the hospital and my contractions picked up and it was hurting so bad I wanted to cry. They admitted me at 11 pm and I had my baby boy at 3:44 pm the next day.

Sounds like the start of labor to me, but I'm just a first time mom. Might want to call or text your doctor/midwife and update them just to be on the safe side. :)
