cramps or contractions?

Just got home from the OB and I'm 3 cm dilated 60% effaced and she stripped my membranes (worst experience ever) but since then I've been having bad cramping and back pain. She said I have already been having contractions...could this be stronger ones already or just cramping from the stripping?  She thinks I will go into labor in the next 2-3 days or sooner.

I hope it's contractions! I'm only 39+2 but because of baby's size they aren't letting me go much longer so I hope thus works. The dr said from the looks of everything I've been in early labor for around 24 hours now. I just thought it was cramps.

I'm home. The contractions seem to be getting stronger but not very close together. The dr said to call if they're 5 minutes apart for an hour so I'm waiting it out.

I would think it would be contractions your feeling. Stripping your membranes shouldn't make you cramp. I keep being told beggining labor feels like major menstrual cramps
