delivery story

So this isn't meant to be discouraging for anyone and I just wanted to let mommies know my story. I'm a first time mommy with a baby boy and I was set to induce on monday night. I get there and had to pit in 2 cervidile over the course of 24 hours I had dialated all the way to seven and broke my water and was progressing on my own! So I wasn't even needing the pitocin. But within the 5.5 hours after my water broke I had somehow gotten an infection in my uterus. My temp went up, my blood pressure went down, my pulse accelerated and the doctor had decided to take the baby because he was reacting badly and his pulse was accelerating.
I had an emergency c-section. He was 10 lbs 6 oz and 23 inches long!! Born at 1010 on dec 9th. The doctor had decided to send him to the nicu because of the chance of him getting my infection. A couple hours after the surgery I woke up to the doctor having her hand inside of my vagina pulling out blood clots and pressing on my stomach because I was hemmoraging within my uterus. I had lost 1800 ml of blood and required a blood transfusion of two units. I got three types of antibiotics through IV.
My baby was in the NICU for three days, and luckily by blessing he did not get my infection. And so as of last night we are safely home:)

Alot went wrong but as of now I'm just happy to be home !
