did my midwife strip my membranes? ???

I'm 40. + 5 had my appointment today and the midwife checked me and it hurt soooo bad it never hurt like this before she seemed like she tool longer and she was like twisting her fingers in there!when she first started she said your about 1 cm still then she started twisting and pushing so hard my leg reflex popped off the table and I almost kicked her in the mouth! Then she said oo now your 2 cm..she never mentioned she would be stripping them but I was wondering can they strip them by accident or strip them with out telling you?? Why did it hurt soooo bad??

My doctor did that yesterday! She made me from 0 to 1... It hurt so bad! Today I'm spotting and the pain isn't so bad. Next week she said she will do more and I'm scared! It hurt so bad! I feel your pain

Doctor told me as he was doing it and Yeah there was twisting and it was very uncomfortable and I felt cramping in my abdomen. He was like what I am doing now is called stripping the membranes, he didn't tell me before starting lol

Skittle_muffin when you got them stripped where you informed that was going to be doneor did they just do of without telling you ..I'm just concerned my midwife did it without telling me ..when you got it done was there twisting of the fingers and how bad did it hurt you?

I've been having contractions. Since and light bleeding.

Thast what I was thinking ..I thought maybe she forgot my doctors office was super busy today and it seemed like she was rushing a bit ..I also forgot to mention. That when she finished. Her glove was bloody which suprised me because that's the first time I've seen blood since my last period!

Usually they will tell you....

It sounds like she did strip the membranes but it would be unusual if she didn't tell you first.
