I would wait and follow your doctors suggestions... I know it is difficult.  Trust me!  My husband and I had sex for the first time today, since we were 4 weeks pregnant!!!  (Doctor wanted us to wait and so did we.... we have had 2 previous miscarriage and at different stages)  So, we had to wait 10 weeks!!!  Not going to lie... it sucked :)  But, in your case, I think that you need to give your uterus and body some time to heal properly.  Although from the outside your skin might be healed in appearance, your uterus scar might not.  I say... just wait :)

I just had a cyst removed from my right ovary and it looks like a mini c section. Its straight across and its centered. I just asked my doctor about sex (2 weeks after surgery) and he said I could if I wanted to...

I say that if you feel up to it, then go for it...just don't rush things and listen to your body!

Oh and CONGRATS! i wasn't around(surgery) to hear the good news! I was waiting for you to pop! YAY! :-D

I dont know if this makes a difference but i pretty much had a c section.  When i had my ovary and tube taken out.  I had to wait 12 weeks to have sex, but i had sex a little earlier than that and it hurt like hell.  So I dont know if they make you wait cause they know that its going to hurt or what.  But good luck to you.

Well I didn't have a c-sec but we definitely didn't wait for the 6 week mark! I think they want us to wait because of the risk of infection and it might be painful. But *I* think each woman needs to do what she feels is best. I felt great a lot sooner than the average woman so we didn't wait.

I don't think it does as long as you feel up to it and it doesn't cause you pain. I say go for it.
