they didnt do it to me with my first pregnancy and they did it with this one my second one i think its just something new they do but you will be fine they also did it to both of my pregnant friends and my cousins girl
Thanks. I'm just so confused because it wasn't mentioned in my first pregnancy.
She was probably looking because if its a hereditary heart problem it could be mistaken as a soft marker.
You can opt out in Australia too. There are several indicators that they look for and the thickness is just one. Personally I haven't gone through with the testing with either pregnancy despite our family history because it wouldn't change our mind. My first baby has two soft markers and is perfectly fine. This baby has one soft marker picked up in its morphology scan and we're happy to wait and see.
Neither family shows a risk and like I said this is my second pregnancy. They didn't mention it the first pregnancy. She mentioned it after I reminded her of my heart problems. I'm so Confused because she was very rude and I just wanted to leave.
Here in nz thats a standard part of testing that happens at your 12wk scan. They put that info together with a bloodtest and your personal history. It just lets the docs know if your baby could be at a higher risk for having downs syndrome. Here you can opt out of having the test done
Honnestly my mother was told I have it but im fine. I wouldnt be to worried but I would get checked incase
