Thanks ladies.....im pretty sure i can find a friend or someone to take me.....yeah i want him to be there when the baby comes and if i do go into labor he better make the three hour trip back a 1 1/2 hour trip....lol but hopefully he stays cooking till atleast 39 weeks!!!! Im in no rush
Feel the contraction starting and pull over for each one*
Depending on you it might not be a big deal. I was in early labour for a ling time and went an hour away to buy my boyfriend a truck and u drove his car home for him while having contractions but just little ones. If your like me you have plenty of time to drive there before the contractions get bad and worse comes to worse you can feel it starting and full over for each one.
You don't have a family member or maybe a friend that you can call just in case?? Maybe even a neighbor you know. There's always a way without you doing it yourself and risking something happening. Good luck and hopefully you don't go into labor until your husband gets back so at least he could be there
My mom drove to the hospital in labor with my brother and i that was over an hour away because my dad refused to wake up to drive. I would have someone on standby to take you,.call an ambulance, or tell him he isnt going anywhere. You gotta do what you gotta do. Hunting (which i hate) will always be there, the birth of your child outweighs the "fun" of a hunting trip. If he does go, just sit in a chair with feet up and relax all weekend. No trying to induce labor that weekend!
Most people even strangers would drive a pregnant women in labor to the hospital. You can also try and make arrangements with your local fire department just in case. With my first we had had a snow storm in VA, we made plans with our fire department and they helped dig out our driveway.
There is no way that you can control a car safely whilst having a contraction. I know some women have done it but it really isn't worth the risk and the last thing you would want whilst in labor is to have a car accident, not to mention putting other people on the road at risk. If you can't get a lift in then call an ambulance.
