Wow what a dead beat mother! I hope they take her child from her! Anyone that would put their child at risk and put their selfishness before their child doesn't deserve to have the child! That baby deserves better! There are plenty of families that would take baby into a safe drug free home and give them all the love in the world! Poor baby! People like that sicken me!

I also was born of a drug addict. She found out at 5 months she was pregnant. I was told tht if i did drugs i wld immedetly become addicted to thwm and i waa addicted to pain pills for 8 years. I waa lucky. My daughter came out fine. No withdrawls no problems. The doctor was the ome who prescribed them while i was pregnant

It dont matter if it shows up, the bad thing is that she used the drug, it harms the baby no matter what, I just hope everything turns out good with that baby.. Thats so sadd.. :/ Breaks my heart. i come from a mother that use to drink and do drungs while i was in her belly, But she did not know she was pregnant.. she found out at 6 months. And i was born at 7months, because it caused her to have lil to no fluid due to the drugs.. And i was born sooo tiny the hospital has my picture "Miracles happend"  And now i suffer from some brain, heart, lungs problems.. Every year i get called to the hospital and give speeches to mother that are pregnant and used drugs and alcohol. Its sad to see mother do it. But there is always help. And now im pregnant with my first and will be giving birth the same hospital were i was born..

I doubt she would go through withdrawal unless it's a constant thing or a frequent thing. It is horrible for the baby though. I would have her talk to her doctor though because her withdrawal or the babies internal withdrawal could cause her to miscarry or go into preterm labor and the baby is way to early to survive outside the womb. This more than likely will not show up in the babies system unfortunately because she could probably use help and they could assess the baby better for effects. Is this a frequent event or was it?

Sadly, it may not show up if she stops using now or is not a regular user. Tell her to be more responsible & it is a very horrible and selfish thing to do while pregnant.

Oh MY WORD!!!! Yes!!! Baby will have effects. It will be born with withdrawals... Especially if this isn't a one time thing. That breaks my heart.
