elevated varicella zoster IGG

During my prenatal labs it showed that my varicella zoster igg is elevated at 2.46, normal is 0-.9  What does this mean?

My dr appt isn't for 2 weeks. I had chickenpox as a child, 20+ years ago.

Positive IgG antibody results usually indicate a past varicella-zoster infection. Did you get your IgM levels checked? If they are also elevated then it indicates a current or recent infection, if not then it is a past infection. What did your doctor say?

It was a challenge to find the answer to this one :) You result indicates a current or previous infection with chickenpox.

If you have ever had the chickenpox (and probably if you were given the varicella [chickenpox] vaccine as a child) you will test positive for the antibodies.
