emergency cesarean

I had to be induced due to preclampsia. They let me get diliated to eight and they had to break my water. It became clear that my baby was in distress so they prepared me for the operation. By the time they did that I wasnt able to think clearly or even know whatwas going on.  My question is it normal for me to feel upset I don't remember most of my labor if any I'm still very weak and I can't do anything alone. My partner has to help me with everything I just don't feel like myself but my baby is perfect she's an angel.

I had an emergency C section as well. Can't remember much at all only that my little girl got very distressed. And the relief I had when they told me she was going to be ok. Friend with similar experience feel they missed out. We are all different. For me once my baby arrived safely and healthy it never caused me another thought.

Yes it very normal sweetie,  I'm so sorry that this happened to you. I too had to have an emergency Csection but with my first baby.  I don't remember much of anything during labor or the csection except for my water breaking time of arrival and his weight and cryand also him peeing on 5 different people.  I could not think straight or really understand what I was going through.  I was in labor for 12 hours then his hb went down to 19bpm and my blood pressure raise over 100 on the bottom end.  I was very upset about my birth, I felt like I failed as a young mother and a woman to myself. I was only 60% effaced and fingertip dilated. but when he was born he was so perfect,  round little head and so tiny.
Congratulations on your sweet baby girl!
