breastfeeding while sick?

I was wondering if its okay to breastfeed while you're sick? I could pretty much pop at any time, and I havs a cold. I plan om breastfeeding but I'm sick and was wondering if I could still do it? Or can I take medicine while I breastfeed? Does it have to be a certain kind?

Yes you can! Your body makes antibodies when you're sick, & they will pass to baby to help them fight sickness. It won't hurt your baby at all. & for medicine as it's about the same as pregnancy. There are lists online that tell you what's acceptable if you want to double check.

As far as I know if you're breastfeeding its pretty much the same medicine thats ok for pregnancy. I know you can still breastfeed if you have a cold and it shouldn't hurt baby. :)
