Yes!I wanted to try a natural birth but I tensed up so much from the pain during my contractions I could barely dialate. Once I got my epidural I could still feel my contractions but didn't feel any pain. I fully dialated and had my daughter a few hours later. (It probably would have been sooner, but I relaxed so much I actually fell asleep for awhile)
No you will breath fine all those horror stories make things seem worse my worse experience from labour were the contractions
It worked great for me. I was so happy I got it
Did it make you feel like you couldnt breath?
Yes it works its great the pain stops completely and it very rare that it doesn't work for someone also its not as bad to get as all the rumors the needle its scary huge or any thing
Yes for most there are sum people that it don't work for but I dident feal anything with my first after I got it
It worked for about an hour with me and then they ended up just giving me Demerol through my IV instead.
I was told that yes it helps with the pain my friend said she didn't feel anything but it's not good my grandma friend said it permanently messed hee back up I was also told that if you move the wrong way or something you can be messed up for life try going naturally the pain will be worth it in the end.
Didnt work for me! Therefore going natural this is my 4th labor and i will be going natural like the 3rd.
An epidural should block the pain completely. If it doesn't, you can get more either by a button yourself or the anesthesiologist. That being said, SOME people it doesn't work as well on; but it's not common.
