exerise bike vs walking....

What do you ladies think of using an exercise bike as well as walking....its hard for me to find some one who will walk with me...im 37 weeks today and had my sweep yesterday,im 3 cm have to be 4 before the hospital will keep me,my contractions have been between 4 and 6 mins apart...

Well keep bouncing girl :)  I wish you all the best of luck and hope and pray that your induction (if needed), will go as smoothly as possible.  Either way, I hope your birth will go that way, of course.

They did a sweep this early bc this is my 3rd baby and the only one i have even dilated with. I went to the er last night and they said i was still a 3 and according to them my contractions werent regular but at home they were....so im home bouncing and walking and squats. I hope i get to 4 soon if not ill see my doc next Wednesday for another sweep if that dont work ill be induced on the 7th.

Why did they do a sweep at 37 weeks?  I am curious because I just saw that they did this same thing to another MH member.  Not understanding why they aren't waiting until 40 weeks to do the sweep.

But if you are contracting regularly, my guess is that you should head to the hospital soon.  If you are already 3, probably won't take a whole heck of a lot of contracting to get you to 4...especially if this isn't your first baby.  Good luck!!

I read that after your second trimester your not supposed to go bicycling.

I think walking since there's pressure on your cervix is definitely beneficial so I'd do that as much as you can, but contractions from any exercise is good at this stage!
