faint positive or evaporation line?

Ok, so this morning I took an equate pregnancy test and it came up with a faint blue line it was'nt grey, butit was very light. and i have heard that evaporation lines are more common on blue test. I took another test a few minutes ago to see if it was just the one test (I bought a 3 pack) still a faint blue line, very l ight, but blue. if it was an evaporation line would it be on both test? I want to be pregnant, but don't want to ge my hope up if it is an evaporation line. and advice or experience with this would be helpful.

first response is pink dye so it's mostly positive. a line is a line on those things! i would call on the 28th to make an appointment and retest at some point between now and then. good luck and congrats!

I think it may actually be a BFP I took another HPT this morning and the line a little darker, still not as dark as the control line, but darker!! I am going to get a digital today just to be sure. Thanks so much for the help and advice! I will keep you posted when I take the digital.

By the way Equate and first response are the best test in my opinon. So if you are getting a faint positive I am thinking you are pregnant. Plus first response doesn't give evap lines AT ALL. With my twins this pregnancy.. I got a positive with equate before I got a positive with anything else.

I would wait two days... I remember mine wasn't much darker the second day so I was like oh shut its not a true positive....but then the next day it was darker. Good luck!

Ok so i took a pink first response pregnancy test and basicly got the same thing a very faint pink line, it is so faint I wondered if I imagined it, so had my husband look he also sees a faint pink line! so now i still don't now for sure. I am going to try again first thing in the morning with FMU and see if it is any darker and if I am still not certain, get a digital pregnancy test although I am not a big fan of digital ones. I will keep you all posted and thanks for the support!

i had the same problem with the same test (check out a picture of it in my photos). it ended up being an evap line and i got my hopes up for nothing. blue tests should be banned! they're too confusing...

I had the same problem couldn't tell if mine was a positive or my eyes playing tricks on me.  It was too light to tell.  So, the girls on here told me to go buy a digital and sure enought positive.  I would advise to go buy a digital test make sure it's the early kind, and you will have your for sure answer.  Good luck and let us know!  :)
