I am about 6 weeks pregnant and I get those cramps too, they are just due to your uterus expanding and will supposivley go away after about the first trimester, I started getting them a week or so ago along with dizziness, the dizziness subsided after a few days, but I still get the twinges of pain from time to time, but as long as they're not constant, I wouldn't worry about it, I told the doctor and she said that it is normal. I think just some womens uteruses are a little more sensitive than others. Good luck!!

My word of advice is to move more slowly, especially when getting out of bed or from a sitting position. Twisting your body wrong can cause those sharp pains.

If you're still having the pain and it's on one side, definitely mention it at your doc appointment. If it becomes unbearable and you feel lightheaded, dizzy or as though you'll pass out go to the ER immediately.

It's normal to have pains. You will have all kinds of new aches and pains during your pregnancy. Well, some women do some don't. nickie is right, unless you have bleeding you should be fine. If you get to the point where you can barely move or have a fever or bleeding, go back to the ER. Let your doctor know at your first appointment if you still have pain so she/he can decide if they want to do anything about it.

In early pregnancy some cramps can be normal, as long as they are not accompanied with bleeding. If this happens then go to the er or see get an emergency appt with your obgyn! Congrats on the new bean!
