Just wondering why you think the baby isn't getting enough to eat.
my daughter is 17 days old & was originally breastfed but i had tok start formula because my milk started drying up,
my doctor recomended anything sensitive because breast milk dont have gas in it & the sensitive decreases the amount of gas they get in their system.
I used several different of the Enfamil formula's with my second who I started off breastfeeding. The gentle ease was the only one he didn't projectile vomit, but what works for one baby may not work for all.
This is my first pregnancy but I worked in an infant room at a daycare once upon a time. I remember one kid who drooled excessively and constantly had green boogers (the drool was from mouth breathing). Anyway. Turns out the kid wsd allergic to his formula. My point: just watch your baby and pay attention to little things when you add formula.
I used enfamil when I suplimented but 22 oz bucket was 34 bucks and he would go through that (once I dried up) in 2-3 days so I switched to simply right because i could get 40 oz for 20 bucks, I never noticed him spitting up mor or any effects from the change so that was the way to go for me!
I used enfamil with both of my kids and had no issues. When it comes to formula, its usually the parents preference. Unless your baby has issues with a certain kind. Im havin my 3rd and plan to use enfamil. And i sure dont ever plan on tasting it!
Oh, and if you buy the powder and not the pre-made liquid, be sure to use either distilled water or water that has been boiled for 8 minutes and then allowed to cool, to mix it. Germs can develop quickly in formula. Don't forget a bottle steamer or sterilizer also (for the empty clean bottles) for the same reason.
I recommend tasting anything you give the baby, they all taste pretty bad but some taste worse than others. It's been five years but the one we settled on was a Nestle product, Good Start is the name I think. (Funny how quickly we forget the details. lol)
