I'm 19 weeks tomorrow, and I'm wondering when do you usually get your ultrasound to find out the gender ? I have an appointment on Tuesday but I'm not sure what for ! Oh and when is best to do a 3D ultrasound?(:

An anatomy ultrasound is scheduled around 20=21 weeks to make sure ur baby is developing as it should and if the baby cooperates you'll be able to see the genitalia

(I'll be a day before 22 weeks for my ultrasound.)

Just be warned ! You won't necessarily find out even until late in pregnancy. It all depends on baby's position and how big wee one has gotten at that point. My OB scheduled me for the 26th and said we might not even find out then.

Early third trimester is the best time for a 3D ultrasound.  You dont want to do it late in the third trimester because the babies weight. It will be harder to see facial features and other features because the baby is so squished in at ths point.

They will tell you the gender on Tuesday. There is no ultrasound just to determine the gender they are giving t oum an anatomy ultrasound to make sure baby is growing properly and they will tell you the gender then (:

At first I didn't want to know till birth but now I'm so anxious to know all thanks to my bf lol

you usually get a ultrasound to find out the gender around 17-20 weeks pregnant. my ultrasound appointment is actually on tuesday so i hope we find out together! lol and many people wait till later in pregnancy like mid/late third trimester to get a 3D so it looks really close to what your baby will look when he/she comes into the world
