Im 19 ftm!!!!!!had my baby boy 2/24/2015!!!!! Maximilian leo alexander.He's still in the nicu..he inhaled meconium..right away they ripped my baby away to take him to nicu so I didn't get to hold him on my chest..was pretty traumatizing..I still can't eat or sleep. I miss him..want him home with me. I had an amazing delivery though I was laughing through labor & delivery! It was nothing for me thanks to epidural! I freaking love the epidural!!!!!!!don't be scared at all moms if you get epidural labor & delivery is a breeze. I'm scared for when he gets home I have lots of anxiety. He's so small & perfect & I want to be the best mom but life is changing so fast. I now have to feed every 2 hrs when he gets home I have to clean all his bottles after feeding & being dead tired & of course diapers & cleaning the house & getting us fed.scared.. Breasts are so heavy & hurting feeling like they are going to explode! Tummy aches & can't sleep.idk! I just would like some reassurance that everything will be ok! Im Juat scarred! I want everything to be perfect!

Meconium is baby poop & they aren't supposed to poop inside there water. But the nurse did mess up& should have gotten my baby out right away. Instead of waiting for the doctor we waited like 20mins when my water was broken I was wanting to push so badly.felt like I had to poop but it was really the babies head almost out. Try for the reassurance aubsmomma!I'm trying to relax. Scared ftm..

Hello I'm Ashley. I am only about 6 wks. 1st appt is on the 5th. So what is meconium? And however did your angel inhale that? Was it the hospitals fault?

Well i hate  to say it, but nothing is perfect. ..You're going to make mistakes, hit rough patches..but that's what being a mom is about!  You'll learn from those mistakes and be such a great mom.  It's pretty overwhelming in the beginning. Trying to find time to shower was nearly impossible.  After i had my daughter,  i went 2 days without eating.  I didn't have time to, lol. But you know what?  It's all worth it. Please don't stress about all the  things that "need to be done". They grow up so quick and change everyday. Enjoy your baby when he's awake and rest while he sleeps. Dishes can wait. I Say This because I was a ftm...my daughter  will be 11 months old next week. I wish i would have stressed less about keeping the house clean.  Take it one day at a time and breathe!
