has anyone taken percocet their whole pregnancy

Hi I was wondering if anyone can share their story if they have taken percocet their whole pregnsncy or like the last Coue of months pretty much everyday. I've been taking about 15mg a day for a month and a half and give birth in 3 weeks and was seeing if that is low enough dose for baby to not be addicted

Im not on percocet but im on 8mg tablet of subutex. My doctor told me to not wean down and that once u introduced this to your baby u need tp be on it the whole pregnancy because if I were to wean down to say half a tablet , my baby could have severe withdrawal inutero and worst case scenario seizures.  So I wouldnt just stop ur meds.  But again this is just what I was told. And there is always a possibility that a baby will be born withdrawling when pain meds are involved.  (Vicodin, percocet, oxycontin, suboxone or subutex)hope this helps. Im scared too!

You are absolutely incorrect. My foster siblings are suffering horrible side affects because their mom did "light drugs" and had the "occasional drink". You are not a medical professional and your ignorant advice could cost the baby his/her life or give them life-long medical complications

With my 2nd pregnancy I was on percocet for the last month due to migraines. My obgyn is the one who wrote the prescription . She told me as long as you follow the directions then baby will be fine.

Why wouldn't you stop taking them? I'm sure your baby will be fine. Bad things only happen to good people who don't take drugs during their pregnancy. I may get kicked off of this forum for that statement but its true. Some people do everything the right way and get crapped on. Then you have people who take drugs or drink or don't take care of themselves and their babies are perfectly healthy.

And like raven said... Even if your baby appears to be healthy a birth.. Most side effects of drug abuse during pregnancy are not notice until toddler stage and up. Its effects them more mentally then physically. I'll keep your baby in my prayers.

They test your baby's first poop and if anything other then pot shows up they have to report it. Then its up to the state. There is nothing you can do to clean your babies system.

They just gave me vicoden knowing I'm pregnant, so try not to stress you weren't taking 60+ mg a day. I think everything will be fine!

I'm a recovering addict, and I've seen people take worse when pregnant and their babies have been completely healthy. I think everything going to be fine! If your doctors aren't worried you def shouldn'tbe!

Yeah I told them cause I didn't want it to be a surprise if baby tested positive and they don't seem to be too concerned but I am about baby withdrawal... I took it for about a month and a half no more than 15mg a day so I'm hoping someone can tell me they have taken that amount and everything's been fine

For opiates. But if you were honest then I don't think you should worry. If you still happen to have the bottle with your name to show it was yours id hold onto it just in case. Make sure your drinking tons of water and cranberry juice both help flush your system. I don't know about being further along and taking them but I had in my first and second trimester and my daughter is a perfectly healthy five month old.
