having a baby girl

When do you plan on piercing her ears? I know everybody has a different opinion and would like to hear yours.

You can get it done as early as 6 months. My mother got mine done when k was a young and they got infected and it was just a mess. I plan on waiting for my daughter to tell me she wants them and helping her gave the responsibility to clean them. I look forward to it. Plus I'm scared if I did them younger she'd pull them out or try to swallow them

I got my daughters done at 3 months. I suggest if you are going to do it either doing when they are young or when they are older. Just for the simple fact of she didn't mess with them at all.

I got mine done when I was 8yrs old. I dont agree with getting babies or young kids done as its against there will. Id personally wait until they understand what it is and if they want to have it done or not. Everyone is different though its really personal choice just like circumcision on boys only you can decide :)

Well I'd like to get her ears pierced at 2 months. Although i have read that it's best to check with the pediatrician. So i plan on asking before getting it done.

I'm not getting my daughter's ears pierced when she's a baby. I had mine done when I was 8 and I remember there was a baby, about 6 months old, getting her ears pierced before me. Her mom had to hold her head and after they did the first one that poor baby was screaming her head off. When they tried to do the other side the baby jerked and the piercing didn't go in right so they had to take it out and do it again. That poor girl screamed for 15 minutes and my mom and I were disgusted that she had to go through that. I would never put my baby through that unnecessary pain. It's your choice but I'm going to wait until my daughter is old enough to ask to have them pierced.

I think if you're going to get them done as a Baby , have it done with a needle. It hurts a lot less. Piercing guns cause so much blunt trauma. But I want my daughter to want it not just do it to her when she can't talk

My mom got mine done when I was a baby, I'm very glad she did because I didn't have to knowingly go through the pain so I'm glad(: idk how early though,
