heartbeat with doppler

Hi ladies, right I brought a Doppler and can hear the heartbeat very clearly. I'm 13 weeks and 2 days and I feel the heartbeat is slow unless I am just counting it all wrong. I counted 90 beat a minute. Surely this isn't right. I put my clock to a minute and counted myself.

Anyone else had this? And I DO NOT Ned to be scared. This pregnancy is going really well and healthy. I've had 3 scans and baby is developing well

WHEN I WAS AT THE DOCTOR WITH MY LAST PREGNANCY IT TOOK THEM FOREVER TO FIND IT WITH DOPPLER

I'm not worried as I said I heard it earlier this morning. Just trying to find it again is hard. I tried YouTube but I think baby has just moved :-) thanks everyone

Your still early it's very hard to differ between urs n the babies u shuld not worry at all!!!!

My doctor taught me a MUCH easier way to count BPM, you count how many beats you get in 10 seconds, then multiply it by 6, it's not spot on accurate, it might be off by a few seconds or so, but definitely easier!

Yu could have also picked up the placenta

I.have a Doppler as well and there's 3 different sounds yu can pick up...yer own heartbeat the placenta and baby's heartbeat

Usually the swooshing one is the placenta and baby is usually really close to that
Just keep.trying took me a lil while to get the hang of it


Yu can also look on YouTube for how to use it I watched one.where it showed me the different sounds

You need to place the Doppler very very low when you are this early. Right on the top of your pubic hair line. And yes make sure you are lying flat with your legs down and not bent up

Right. Thanks ladies I just had another go before work. I've been listening to my heartbeat!! I'm gonna lay down properly after work and get it. I did hear it and and it as completely different to mine and so fast :-) thanks for all your help

I found it really easily it's find of in my groin area but I can hear loads of whooshing round baby. Would it help if I had a full bladder like it would on a scan?

Normal baby heart rate should be anywhere from 120-160. Someties you gotta look real hard for theirs because their moving so much.

U may be picking up ur own thinkong its the bAbys sometimes wen doc is listning to the babys u can still here mine slower in the background
