heartburn and hair myth?

Anyone hear the myth where if you have really bad heartburn, your baby comes out with a lot of hair? What do you think about it? I had super bad heartburn throughout my pregnancy and I just had my son Saturday night, he has a full head of hair!

I'm gonna say not true, 1st 2 pregnancies I had no heartburn and my boys came out with full heads of hair.... A lot of hair

Not true. With my first son I had heartburn bad and throughout the whole pregnancy and he was bald. With my daughter I had no heartburn and she came out with a full head of hair.

On the questions they answer on that show I didnt know I was pregnant they said it was true. I always thought it was made up too!

I heard that there is a corralation between the levels of calcium you consume and the amount of hair your baby is born with. A lot of antacids are full of calcium so maybe that's the corralation.

Its a LIE!! Lol. My girl has NO hair and I have terrible heart burn. It just means your ligaments and muscles are loosening up more than other pregnant womens are and the acid has more opportunity to creep up.

Its true,  I had bad heartburn in my third trimesters with both my daughters, and they both had heads full of beautiful hair.

I honestly don't think its a myth I think its proven to be true. I heard it was something that makes the hair grow that gives you heartburn. Idk though.

My baby will be Chewbacca, lol. Unless he's like me, I was bald until I was 2! But, every pregnancy is different

According to the book "Your pregnancy: week by week" this myth is indeed not a myth. 80% of women who have severe heart burn during pregnancy have babies with lots of hair, and the same hormones that cause hair growth cause heartburn as well. :)

With my first i had horrible heartburn throughout and he came out with a headful of dark hair.....thid time my heartbutns been minimal so im worried shell be bald lol

My mom had it terrible the entire pregnancy, all 3 pregnancies, and we were all bald as a rock! Lol

I have it so bad along with GERD I have to be in medicine so I don't puke daily. I'm 24 weeks. .__. I'm anticipating mere peach fuzz since daddy and I were both baldies lol

I was just recently at another baby shower of a friend & I heard that as well! I don't really know if to believe it or not but I'm 29 weeks & I only get heartburn if I eat like hotsause or something.. but I believe that my daughter will come out with a head full of hair cause my boyfriend has really good hair, even tho he has a fade & his sister mother & other baby has good hair so I might just be wishful thinking but I think she'll have a lot of hair tho.
