help! healthy meals??

My husband as decided after baby he wants us both to eat healthier and exercise together. Only problem is he is an EXTREMELY picky eater. Only vegetables he will eat is canned green beans canned corn and corn on the cob. He wont touch anything else. He hates beans. Hates sweet potatoes. I am at a loss of what to do! He likes bananas and drinks 2% milk already so thats not an issue. I can also switch to whole grain easily and grill more and bake more instead of fry.

Any other suggestions??

i like to sneak in veggies in a meat loaf. i add grated carrots, onions and celery. once its mixed with the meat you can barely notice the carrots. also another great thing, like the grapefruit, is apple cider vinegar. you take 1-2 tablespoons before major meals. some people lose a lot of weight in one week. you should research apple cider vinegar (raw) and see if its for your family. its also great for a lot of other things.
don't forget to dilute it in a glass of water so you don't hurt your teeth.
hope you can make a good meal plan everyone will enjoy. : )

My husband is about where yours is when it comes to pickiness. I make lots of stuff from scratch don't fry much. Try baking fish or chix without skin. Bake potatoes or slices with just salt and pepper. If he eats hotdish use skinless chix breast with rice little bit of milk/cream and butter doesn't have to be a lot. Google low fat quick recipes there's a lot to try!

Hes not too big on rice unless its in a casserole..but im sure i could fix casseroles and sneak veggies into it as long as i puree it small enough where he cant tell. I can also bake brownies from scratch and add zuchini or carrots. Most of the veggies i will have to sneak in and since hes with me at the store i will say its for my lunches or snacks :)

I think that is an excellent Idea, It will actually make you have more energy for the baby! Some suggestions I have for you, Since my husband was trying to be healthier for a while, ( I am Underweight, so I had to eat seperate meals than my husband, but this is what I did for him) Eat Lots and Lots of Chicken, and also tuna. They are High on Protein ad low on Fat. If you are looking to loose weight and like the taste of grapefruit, My husband lost almost 50lbs in a 6 month period by eating one grapefruit and drinking one glass of grapefruit a day. Its a little more expensive but will def be worth it. I have recommended it to others trying to loose weight and they have told me that it was a success. Along with Excercise as well. The Grapefruit actually speeds up your ....... Oh Poop Pregnancy Brain Fart. Sorry. Anywho It basically makes your matabolism bump up... Lol that was the word I was looking for. lol Hope this helps. and def. the whole grain is good. If he likes Rice, you can also use brown rice rather than white.
