you can get a false + home test. on the blood test, did they do a quantitative? bec if they did it would have shown wether you were recently pregnant or not at all.
My last period started Nov 21st. I had several positive at home tests (even though they were incredible faint) And yesterday I had a negative at home test. I'm not due for a blood test until tomorrow. Hopefully it works out well for both of us! *baby dust*
Well it turns out my false positive home test was due to a hemoraging cyst in my ovary. The blood test was negative and the sonogram revealed the cyst. Hope your results turn out better than mine did. Keep us updated :)
not to be a downer but blood tests are normally completely accurate...you need to discuss with your doctor why you have not started..it is possible that you had enough hcg in your urine to be detected by a hpt and then you lost the baby in which case your hcg could have declined enough to make a blood test negative...i hope this did not happen...keep us posted!
I would agree with worrieddd about this. Usually blood tests are more accurate than the hpts you use at home. However, if you did have a miscarriage, you would have bled by now, I would think.
I have heard of women getting false readings on blood tests and not knowing they were truly pregnant until they were a couple months along. Maybe this is the case. Talk to your doctor again and see if they will run an additional blood test and urine test.
Hope everything works out!!
It is possible you were pregnant then you miscarried shortly after implantation. I'd have the doctor do a ultrasound to see if there is any tissue still remaining in your uterus. Something isn't right even if your not pregnant and that should be looked into. That will tell you clearly if you are or were pregnant. Good luck.
