I had a big temp spike today!!! Hubby and I BD'd before we went to sleep this morning wonder if that could have caused it.  I didnt sleep to well either, but i did as least get 3 hours of sleep. I had some majorly weird dreams as well.

My spike doesn't start out as anything grand.  It makes a small spike the first DPO then goes up again the following day or two and evens out.

Well I do mine at night due to i work nights and sleep during the day, so i am backwards. I have read Deanna's plan i would like to try it but my work schedule is weird. I work 6 days one week then only work 1 the next it is kinda hard to do with working nights as well.

@ NicoleW09, you are right when you say you should test later in the day. The time that is recommended is around 12 or 1 and you should test everyday at the same time...Please checkout the OPK user group I created. It has TONS of information and it will help you understand the opk's better...Let me know what you think?

I thought you were supposed to take an opk in the late after noon from like 3-7pm. LH builds up in your system over night and can give an inaccurate reading. this is why i only chart my bbt when ttc, bc it's not so confusing to me.

Hey Bebe, there is a OPK group that has TONS of information that can help you. you should check it out and if you find it interesting you should join..Also in the TTC group, there is a plan called Deanna's plan. That along with the information on the OPK group, should definitely help you conceive. I followed Deanna's plan to a T this last cycle and I got my BFP on 7/24. I'm not sure if it REALLY was the plan, but I've been TTC for almost 8 mos before my bfp and doing Deanna's plan and using the OPK and understanding the OPK helped. Those 2 things were the only things I did differently this cycle..Check it out:)

Bebe:  If you had a definite temp spike I would go with that.  It's possible you just missed your surge.

opk = ovulation predictor kit.  It's a test to detect the surge of LH (lutienizing hormone) that surges just prior to ovulation.

The top one has a strip on the left side of it that is darker than the rest of them.  So I say that one.  But none of them is dark enough to be considered a positive opk!
