horse back riding and pregnant

So I'm nine weeks pregnant and had my first ultra sound every thing was great baby is perfect , I asked my doctor about my horse back riding which I do 4-5 times a week up to four hours a day and he told me only to do it as long as I feel comfortable , but then I was reading online that it can cause the placenta to detach just from the jarring movement of your horse trotting , now I'm not quite comfortable getting back on my horse anyone else ride through your pregnancy ??? Any problems ? Or should I just stop until baby is born ??

Hormones cause morning sickness not activity. Some people get it and some people don't. It can't be caused by something you choose to do like that.
I wish I knew how to ride. Sounds like you've gotten doctor clearance - so have fun!

I Wanted ToGo Horseback Riding When My Parents Came To Visit Us And I Was About 18 Weeks. The Doctor Said You Can Ride Up Until 12 Weeks Safely, But That Was For A One Time Deal. I Think Riding A Horse Pregnant Would Be Extremely Uncomfortable And Cause You To Have Morning Sickness.

if your body is used to doing something then you can continue to do it. i know several women who ran alot and still ran/run during their pregnancies. all their babies were fine. if you just dont feel comfortable doing it anymore then dont.

I have one horse who is unpredictable. cause we just got him and he has never been trained and broken properly. with everyone else he is a hardass he will buck them off and kick at them but when i come around he is gentle and relaxes. he will come up to me and nudge me to feed him a carrot. its like he is a completely different horse. he gets protective when other people come around and he will start making alot of noise and pacing. he lets me ride him fine though. if you trust the animal the animal will trust you.

I have a lot of trust in my horse and she's dead quite she can sense things and can walk around with a two year old on her back and never bucks bolts or rears I know she's an animal and can be unpredictable and it only takes one time but in the 5+ years we've had her she's never done a single thing to make us believe she would be unpredictable she's bred to be quite and that's exactly how she is.

That is a high risk activity.. What if you got bucked off or something and lost your baby. In my opinion horse back riding shouldn't even be an option. I wont even go ice skating for the fear id fall on my butt and miscarry. Pregnancy requires sacrifices this might have to be one..

Trust your doctor. I asked my midwife the same thing about atvs (I practically live on four wheelers during the summer). As long as it's not something you're not used to, continuing carefully should be fine. I don't think a proper trot poses any more risk than a jog would as long as you're careful!

If its something you did often before pregnancy then your body is use to it. You and baby will be fine :)

It's just like running a lot because I'm the same I ride 5-6 times a week and my doctor said it was fine it's all about knowing what you are doing if it's something you do often enough you should be fine :)

I would trust your doctor. Plus if you ride that much I'm sure you know how to properly ride a trot; a lot of people just bounce all over the place and that's not good at all. However you have to do what is best for you if you feel you shouldn't do it, or if down the road your doctor says it's no longer safe.

placenta detaching is not really an issue in the first trimester, check back about it at later check ups

That's weird my doctor told me not to do it until my baby gets here, my baby is healthy and all.
