horse back riding...

I was out riding today, and things got a little rough (horse stumbled but regained herself) I have a pain from my tail bone forward... nothing major just a little ache. I'm 17 weeks. I have been watching myself and i have had NO internal/abdominal pains, and have had no spotting. Throughout my pregnancy I had a sore lower back as that's currently where the little one resides. Is this an ache I should go to my Dr about? I am a first time mom and this is my first pregnancy.

I'm half way through my pregnancy and I still ride. My horse is kinda lazy sometimes and stumbles also. But even if I did get a pain it went away fairly quick. Longest it took was about 2 days.

I guess it depends on your dr. Mine has always told me to ride as much as i like, just stop when you feel your balance is affected, or by the start of your third trimester whichever comes first. Id call your doc tomorrow just to be on the safe side, buti wouldnt worry too much.

If youve done horse back riding before it should be fine to keep doing it and i wouldnt worry about the little aches and pains. If you see blood then i would call your dr for sure. If your unsure then definately call in and ask. Its better to be safe then sorry. And ask your dr when you should stop riding too. Im :) pretty sure your okay for awhile but ask just to be sure

Well your not allowed to ride a horse while pregnant.. and my doctor said besides the chance of getting thrown off, kicked, etc.. that riding period can cause horrible back problems during pregnancy I would talk to your doctor about his/her opinion, but you can prob just apply ice and heat maybe get someone to massage your lower back and sides
