It's usually very discouraged that the guests use either the bathroom or the shower in the patient's room, for germ control or hygiene reasons. is your fiance not planning to leave at all during those three days? My guess is if you live within a short distance he will very much want to go home and shower and change to get a break.
We do live close by but I was just curious, it's not a big deal :)
He can just go home and shower and somebody can stay with u during the time he will be absent he doesn't need to stay whole time at the hospital I think ...my opinion so its up to him...
I'm not sure about showering but when I had my son I had to share a room with another mom so both of us and our visitors had to use the same bathroom.
At my hospital we get our own rooms. But i was wondering the same thing because i live over an hour away from my hospital and my husband wont be leaving .
I would say do what you want...our rooms are with a big Jacuzzi bath tub but they will allow my man to get in the bath with me while im in labor if i decide to do that so i think of they would allow him to be in the bath that he could shower but thats here in colorado so idk but i know when i order meals to eat he gets to order as well they are trying to make the man feel comfortable as well...
ericaranae which hospital are you going to? I'm in northern Colorado and haven't decided on a hospital yet...
My boyfriend treated the hospital room like it was home lol
@lilbit i go to mckee in loveland i had my 1st there and was pleased with how it went...i wondered how mcr would be but my dr delivers at mckee and i like her lol...but i was born at pouder in foco and idk i hear mixed things about their care... But i really like the bath tubs at mckee lol
My poor husband suffered so much on the uncomfortable, narrow cot-like bed (more like a window bench except longer) that my hospital had for the partner that finally he went home to get some sleep. I think he took his shower then. Ask at your hospital tour.
Yeah I'm in foco and REFUSE to go back to PVH!! I'm planning on delivering at MCR with whatever doctor they give me... Im so fed up at this point..
I bet mcr will be very nice let me know how it goes...i know mckee just got redone a few years ago and i loved having my 1st there so ill stick by my dr and do number 2 at mckee again they have huge tubs that i love lol
