how do i know if i got pregnant while on the pill??

I have been on the pill for several years, but last month i forgot to take my pill until the next day on a couple different occasions...   I had a period that was much lighter than usual, but have now been back on the pill for 2 days...

I have just felt weird, and am wondering if i could be pregnant - However, if i took a test I dont know if it would show the correct results since i have been taking the pill for a few days?

I am just worried - wouldnt want to be pregnant, and still taking the pill

Birth control pill can not in any way affect the outcome of a pregnancy test.  I wouls say you could trust the test results as long as.....

1.)  you read the test results in the time frame indicated on the test box (if it didn't say, do not look at the test past 10 min, but wait at least 2-4 minutes for it to develop.

2.) do not take the test until you are at least due for your peroid  or are late.  you said you re-started your pills like 2 days ago???  it would be a fine time to test.

3.)  you either need to use first morning urine, or hold your pee for 4 hours & then test.  Do not drink a bunch of liquid before you test (that could dillute the results)
4.)  even the cheap tests work (I know from experience)  no need for an expensive one.

Birth control pills contain hormones.  taking them at different times of the day can affect the balance of your hormones.  Taking a pill late on a few occasions can increase risk of pregnancy, but it is still unlikely, especially if you made up for it by taking the pill late.  Sometimes on the pill you can have a lighter peroid for no reason.  (sometimes I would barely have one at all)

Try to get in a routine of taking your pills.  If you take them at night, take it when you brush your teeth / wash face before bed.  if in the morning, try remembering to take it during your getting ready routine,
