how do you tell people

That you don't want certain character baby items. For instance I'm terrified of Mickey mouse. Irrational but true. I don't want any clothes it bibs or anything with that darn mouse on there. How do I tell people for my baby shower? Do I leave a little side note on the invitation. (no Mickey sh!t!) Haha

just tell em. my mil talked about buying sports stuff for my son, but I'm not a sports person and won't push my son into them unless he wants to do them himself. so i just said no. I don't want any of it. won't buy it either.

Whenever people asked me if I needed anything or what I wanted I straight up said no winnie the pooh. My MIL asked if she could give me one winnie the pooh item, and it was a onesie hubby himself used to wear, so I made an exception for that. I told her she could keep all the other WTP clothes for baby to wear when he visits them, and she accepted that as a good compromise.

You could exchange it but it will be a lotbeasier on you if you just let people know on the invites. I don't blame you- I am terrified of clowns and I hope no one gives me anything clown related. I'll loose it!

I would just say the theme of your shower on the invite like Mommy's Monkey and people will generally buy for the theme. It's a nicer way to put things.

I just feel a little bad like I'm being demanding. all that stuff would go to waste though :/ I guess I could exchange it for same product different look?
