how long should morning sickness last?

I am 18+1 today and I have not been able to get rid of morning sickness. I tried ginger like the Dr recommended, and I ended up having an allergic reaction to it. But I was curious to how long morning sickness usually last? And is it really and truly healthy for the baby like everyone says?

Thank yall. I feel better about it now. I'll put up with it everyday if it means the baby is fine and healthy (:

I haven't had morning sickness since my first trimester.  I'm in my third now and I hope it doesn't come back.

I had morning sickness with both my babies the entire pregnancy. It just depends on the pregnancy. Feel better!

It's different for everyone, but I've had it since I was about 6wks & I'm now 39w5d & I still have it almost every single morning. My dr also said that it was a good sign that baby is healthy & doing good. :) I haven't found anything to help with it though, snacking doesn't help me. I took zofran but then went into premature labor so I stopped taking it in case it triggered it cause my nurse said it could've, so I've just dealt with it.
