how off can ultrasounds be

I was wondering how accurate ultrasounds were. I cheated on my boyfriend in september 25 I still had periods after that and then my last period was december 7 the doctor said i conceived on the december 17th i found out i was pregnant in jan so is this my boyfriends baby. or is the doctor off.

Sounds like the doctor is right. I would be very shocked if the doctor was off by 9 weeks. That's a huge gap!

when i went to the doc on january 13th the doc said that i was 5 and a half weeks and i went to the doc last week all of the measurements were accurate to a baby thats 21 weeks along correct weight for the age of a 21 week baby accurate everything i just keep stressing over it i want to have advice from others just to make sure

If you had sex with someone else in September then you would have missed a period by October 10th or so. There is an 9 week difference between the ultrasound and the info you gave me. It's just to wide of a stretch.

How far along did the Dr. say you were? because if you conceived in Sept with the other guy you would be really far along, somewhere around 7 months. If you conceived in Dec. then you would be around 5 months. U/S can be off, but I would be shocked if it were off by 2 months, they are usually off by a couple of weeks or even a few days.

It sounds to me that the doctor is right in the ball park. Maybe 3-5 days off give or take. But that's just from what I can see.
