You're still young...you learn as you go. I'm 25 and some girls my age couldn't walk a day in my shoes. You'll be ok.

when i berly moved in with my hubby 2 years ago i was so embarassed because i didnt know much about cooking. it takes time i learned by looking up recipes online and there were some stuff my family cooks that i couldnt find so ill call my mom and grandma for them but i got so much better that hubby cant wait to sit down and eat. it takes practice confidence and much love when you cook dont worry :)

Don't feel dumb. It takes practice hun :)
I think cakes is the only thing i can cook. Food im not too good with :/ just like the simple things. My boyfriend can cook more than me :o & he always says i wont ever be a good housewife if i cant clean or cook & it use to put me down, but now i say "it takes practice. Ima show your a$$ i can . Watch!"
If i dont start now, i'm gonna get into culinary arts to learn how :)
& your bf needs to stop laughing & all that! I wouldve gotten mad :/ be like "come cook it yourself. See hows that's like!!"
& just tell his sis you never cooked one. She didn't have to come up to you like that

The first 3 years I lived on my own I survived on grilled cheese sandwiches and tacos lol. Lots of food network and cookbook reading turned me into quite the cook(if I do say so myself) don't feel dumb! Everyone has to learn somehow, and have a few kitchen disasters in the process. Inlaws can be a real nightmare, especially sisters.

You have to make mistakes to learn....practice makes perfect. I hated baking, but I kept trying and trying until I got it right. And so what....its a damn cake. You have your whole life to get it down.

Lol yeah don't even let it bother you. My husbands favorite dessert is cookies and when we first for married ( last year ) I thought it would be nice to surprise him with some. 3 batches were just not good. Lol so I gave up on cookies. We now buy the prepackaged ones that you slice and bake (: but cakes I can do lol. Just ignore the in laws there is almost never a good relationship with anybody and their in laws.
