I was induced. First with pitocin twice over 2 days, then the balloon on 3rd day. The balloon caused horrible contractions which I got the epidural. I was stuck at 5cm for 3 days and docs recommended csection. I was upset, so they allowed me few hours to think about it since baby's heart rate was fine. I opted to change positions to move baby along. So I lowered the dosage of the epi so I could move. 3 hours later of changing positions, I jumped to 7cm. Nurses left room saying it will take another 3 hours to go to 10cm. Well bull! Because 20 minutes later I felt the urge to push and yelled for the nurses. I was 10cm. After 5 contractions, I pushed my baby out. Docs apologized for suggesting csection. And I'm glad I waited it out. That's my experience on being induced. All I can say is stay strong and trust your body.

I had a better labor experience with my induction then when I had my son naturally. It really depends on your body dont let people scare you.

Everyone I tell that I'm getting induced makes it seem like the worse experience and they're all surprised which bothers me. They keep telling me to walk and walk for it to be easier. I'm only 2cm dilated so far and getting induced in a week. I hope more people comment their experiences because i don't think it's going to be as bad as they make it seem ?

Im being induced now!! I went from 0to 4 really quick! ( with use if a Foley ball) which caused some serious contractions. They then started pitocin but im stuck at four and having no contractions that I can feel. Just waiting on my baby girl. :-) and some action!

My due date was Sept 8, 2014 but my daughter was quite comfy so I got scheduled for induction on Sept 9. At 7:30am I was brought to the l&d room where they set up the monitors and everything. At 9:30 they started pitocin which didn't do much to help dilate me more I was already at 4cm. The contractions were more painful then i ended up being able to handle so i got the epidural. At noon the doc came in and broke my water  which made me automatically go to 5cm. About 1:30 the doc came in and I was at 10cm but my daughter was still higher up than they wanted so they had me sit up so gravity would help with her coming down. At 210 the doc came back to check and decided I was ready! After 15mins of pushing my princess was born at 2:38pm weighing 7lbs 10.8oz and 20.5in long! I didn't tear at all this time but definitely sore!
