I will be honest I was deathly afraid of pain but the dr will pinch you pretty hard and if you feel it say so. I did not feel it and even asked him to double check.

I just had my daughter by c-section two weeks ago, I didn't experience any pain but like the others said you can feel the tugging and pulling. Although the after effects are painful, recovery is painful I'm still having to take pain medicine which is hard being drowsy with a newborn. Laughing, sneezing, and even coughing will have you in tears feeling like your incision ripping open. Just beware of the recovery process especially if your husband has to return to work immediately

You don't feel pain (unless your lucky like me 2x and the epidural wore off and second time they didn't tip the OR table back far enough and my spinal only made it to my belly button) .. Any who pull most likely get a spinal which is just a shot in your back and you don't feel pain during the procedure just a lot of pushing , tugging, pulling to get baby out. And no they do not cut you big. Mine is maybe a couple inches across my bikini line. And your not usually put to sleep unless its an emergent case an say you didn't have an epi or spinal wasn't working. It's painful the first few days after but the more you're the better. I've had 3 and only took tylonel after each of them

My SIL had one and she said it doesnt 'hurt' as much as its really weird and uncomfortable. She said she felt such a sick feeling and was so uncomfortable that they had to put her under bevause she couldnt take it. But shes also a big baby and shes the only one i know that did that. All the others had a c-section and beside some pulling sensation, they were fine!

..you can feel "tugging" and pulling it doesn't hurt but its definitely a weird feeling, but a c-section will hurt for weeks afterwards were as vaginally people can start to feel normal again within the first couple hrs
