Sorry ladies I know this isn't a pregnancy question but I really need to vent...   Today I went to the animal shelter here in town an the lady pretty much said I can't adopt a dog because I'm pregnant!! and wouldn't be able to handle it!  Ugh it made me so mad I started crying on the way home..  I love animals, I'm a huge animal person! I grew up on a cotton farm and had animals all my life..  it just made me so mad that she told me I wouldn't be able to handle it! Like who is she to tell me what I can and can not handle!!  Anyways it just really upset me and I needed to vent.. sorry if it sounds stupid or maybe I'm just over reacting idk..  what do you ladies think? And would this have made you upset?

Thanks ladies. My husband is going back with me this weekend. It made him mad to, he's guna go with me and complain..  it's bs they shouldn't be able to tell me no just because I'm pregnant.

I would have politely asked for a written statement that says pregnant women cant adopt pets.. if she just turned you away based on her opinion you need to ask for a manager or someone over her head.

I'm a animal lover also. So I would have reacted the same way. Maybe you should try another animal shelter.
