just a question....

I love scary movies but i was told by my mom that watching a scary movie like for ex "the devil inside" coming out tonight can be bad for baby since he feels everything. whether im scared from a scene or loud noises since its a demonic movie.... is this true?? Or is she just being a over protective grama??

Well I agree with ms. kitty thts a movie is just that-a movie. Someones  imagination but together a series of images and sounds to entertain an audience or in this case cause a little scare. The scare wouldn't put any more stress than every day life. I was driving last night and someone cut me off and that caused a certain amount of stress. I am a huge scary movie fan myself and don't think its any more stressful than someone watching a sad movie that makes them cry. I cried watching titanic and I don't believe there was any spirits attached to Leonardo DiCaprio and his demise

I believe certain movies like that are bad not only for baby but for u also..... Now this is only MY BELIEF but i do believe when those noviea are made there are certain aspirits attached and those spirits can be transfered to u an/or you baby so i personally stay away from them. Remember thats just my opinion and belief.

Lol ive never heard that one! I don't think watching a scarey movie would have any harm on the baby. Maybe if u were in a situation where u were literally scared to death for ur life, then that might cause stress on the baby. But getting a little scared over a movie...Nah. my husband made me watch scarey movies during my first pregnancy. I get so scared I squeeze his arm the whole time I end up getting a cramp in my hand Haha. I did see previews for the movie ur talking about...looks to scarey for me, id have nightmares forever. I'm sure I get dragged to go see it though :/

I imagine if you're scared enough, your heart rate might go up or you might get a little adrenaline boost or jump or something. But those things happen to pregnant women facing medical emergencies, family tragedies, crime and disasters every day.
You can always ask your doctor but I sincerely doubt it's going to cause any lasting harm.
