My baby girl was born on Wednesday (: today I took her home but now she's having problems latching on my breast... I'm worried because she's not eating.. what can I do?? I'm a first time mom and a single parent. She was doing good at the hospital so I don't know what to do..):

You can use a nipple shield so that she can latch on.. I had to use that with my first so

thats what my 1st daughter did to me when we came home.. so i just let her be.. she was the sleepy type.. then when she woke up she would cry so loud and eventually suck like she would never stop.. now she's already 4 and excited with the next baby.. wait for her to ask for it.. she'll get hungry anyways.. if not.. ask your doctor..

Don't give in. She will latch on for dear life when she is hungry enough. Newborns have tiny tiny tummies she don't need much to get proper nutrients. If she don't nurse for over 4-5 hrs then you can worry.

First they googling different techniques if that doesn't work call your doctor and tell them your issue
