labor story :)

i was in labor from 1:48 on the 21st to 12:01 of the 22nd [when i delivered] getting into the squatting position helped me tremendously. when i got to the hospital, they almost sent me back home because the nurse wasnt believing my contractions were doing anything [it was 4am when we arrived, and i was exhausted so i was literally sleeping through them] she checked me, and i was 3cm dilated. she came an hour later and checked, i was 5, so the took me to the delivery room. i dont remember much other than they gave me a mild pain killer @ first, and that got me high as hell.the room was spinning seconds after it was administered, so i had no choice but to sleep it off. the nurse had two students training to become nurses, and the other women delivering didnt agree for them to be there.  i was sleep till my contractions were coming about a min apart, but i didnt realize it cuz i was sleeping in between them. somewhere in there they gave me an epidural lol [i only got it because i needed to sleep, i needed energy]. they had to speed up/regulate contractions as well cuz they were close together, but irregular like 1-3 mins apart.as my doctor came in, she was stunned [i was supposed to be induced the very next day, but as it turns out, the doctors edd was one day ahead of the due date when calculated by my menstral cycle. in other words, she came exactly on her due date] i had to be guided to push because i was so numb from the epidural. pushing took 10 mins. i got a 2nd degree tear, and got stitched up right after. a min later, they put her on my chest [of course, i had to fight my mother off, because she wanted to hold her first]
