Castor Oil

Im 39 weeks and I have not dilated effaced or even started thinning. I have contractions and they hurt but they don't get stronger and they don't make me dilate. I was gonna get induced on Sunday but since im not dilated he wont do it. If i take Castor oil will this help or hurt me or the baby. I really don't wanna C-section. My grandmother just passed away and the last conversation I had with her she said have the baby on April15th for her and my grandfathers 50th wedding Annivarsary?? PLEASE GIVE ME ALL THE ANSWERS

Instead of castor oil I would try nipple stimulation, sex (men's ejaculate has something in it that helps), orgasm (causes your uterus to contract), and walking (gravity helps with labor)

Also caster oil only helps jump start labor if your body is ready. If you are not dilated or effaced all its most likely to do is make you extrememly sick.

Please don't take castor oil," sehale" is right, it will give you and baby diarrhea, and if baby poops in womb, it can be bad!!! Baby will come when he/she is Ready to. I am due in 4 days and getting anxious because I'm so miserable feeling! I can't walk without hurting, I'm having constant contractions daily, and my back is killing me! But, I have to be patient and let her come when she's Ready. I certainly do not want to be induced, it is much more painful labor and can cause problems for baby and me! I was induced with my last one and was in horrible pain. Baby was also born with jaundice and cord wrapped around neck! I didn't get to Hold her for 5 hrs. After she was born. Castor oil only works if you take enough to dehydrate yourself. Which is bad. It can also make the baby poop in the womb, which can be fatal. So no, don't take it.

I was in the same boat as you, but my water broke on its own!! Don't do the castor oil!! So not worth the risks it could cause the baby.

I heard castor Oil is bad for the baby. You still have 3 days until the 15th. Maybe your baby will sense that your grandmother wanted her born on that day and you'll have you baby on that day. I've read and heard stories about stuff like that happening.
