When my water broke it started first with a big amount of discharge than when I got into the shower it ran throughout my legs.

Your water breaking will be more water like.  It will feel like you just peed your pants.  I had to have the dr. Break mine with my first and it slowly seeped out of me while walking. I could of swore up and down that I was peeing!
