medi-cal

Who has medi-cal? Unfortunately since I don't have health insurance through my job nor does my bf, I applied for medi-cal and it is so confusing!!! :/

Thats great. Yes 70$ at least should have gone towards your share of cost not just the office.
I'm glad I helped. Sounds like social workers don't know what they are talking about cuz mine told me the same but working with insurances at work I knee better.

thank you @mrsMartinez91 that's why it was confusing, I found it ridiculous to pay $70 for a referral. I actually came to the Dr and was able to get my refund and called another location to schedule an appt with an OB :) I have decided not to contact my case worker if she never answers my questions and has given me wrong information for the third time

When you have medi-cal for pregnancy only you dont need a referral you just go to any OB cuz thats what I have with a share of cost too. They played you and took your money hun.

I just got approved for it last week. Went to the doctor today because according to my case worker I had to see a primary doctor in order to obtain a referral for an OB.  So I went to the Dr and was charged full price for the visit since needing a referral is not pregnancy related. btw I have the limited medi-cal for pregnant women only and have to pay a share of cost.
