Thanks everyone!! I want to do a natural birth, i wanted to do a water birth but my city doesnt do that for some reason so im going to go with squating, thats the best position to deliver in laying on your back is the worst! I didnt know that but ive been reading alot about natural birth. I will watch that movie my mom and sister did and my sister chose a midwife! Im only 8 weeks just looking at my options (:

In uk we don't really use docs, unless we have to see a specialist for some reason, the midwives deliver our babies at home or in hospital :)

Well a midwife is more natural way to go they believe in letting baby come on their own but are medically capable to take care of everything like a doctor. And an ob is basically just a doctor who just wants baby out but can help if you need a c section and with an ob you'll have to go to the hospital. You should watch the business of being born on Netflix its great and will show you. I didn't know either until I watched it. But I still went with an ob

An OBGYN is a doctor who completed medical school and specializes in obstetrics and gynecology. Choosing an OBGYN will mean you will deliver in a hospital setting. A midwife is not a doctor but someone who attends midwifery school to receive training in obstetrics and gynecology. Midwifes tend to more holistic in their approach and you can often deliver at a birth center instead of a hospital. A midwife is a good choice if you are looking to have an unmedicated natural childbirth experience. An OBGYN is a good choice if you plan to have an epidural and want a hospital experience.
