my water broke!

I am 40 weeks pregnant and 4 days..
My water broke three and a half hours ago. Called midwife she said to head to bed and get some sleep before the real thing starts. Took me some time (first labor and I'm nervous!) By the time I was falling asleep the contractions kicked in. Now they're three minutes apart lasting 60 seconds. They feel like really bad annoying period like cramps. Called her again 30 minutes ago to let her know what I am feeling and how far apart they are going on for an hour. She advised me to take a warm bath for an hour and see what the contractions do. So far they're still the same and I am beyond uncomfortable laying in the tub when a contraction hits. So now I am resting on my bed waiting for another 30 more minutes to see what happens. Any suggestions?

I can't recommend anything else other than having an epidural! I suffered so much until i finally gave up and asked for it.

Best of luck and i wish you a very little hour

Walk if you can if not don't stress your baby is well on the way and I was told that once they're on the way you can rest in bed and your baby is still going to come it's just best if you can walk because it helps baby move down, make sure everything is packed and ready. Eat if you're hungry but be warned that if you eat you could possibly get sick during labor. Good luck!!!
