Tomorrow is my amniocentesis test. Oh gosh I'm so nervous about it. On top of that I have to drive an hour to get to this doctor! Geez my stomach is in knots just thinking about it :(
That's great! My bf aunty got the amnio. N was put on bed rest for months because baby kicked the whole n tore a hole in the uterus she went into preterm labor like 4 times! Almost lost her life n his! Ur very lucky doc took a second look glad u didn't have to go through that!
I didn't do the needle test. They did the very detailed ultrasound and doc came in an said it wasn't necessary that it was a blood clot not a fibroid.
I have been cleared of any disability! The specialist even asked if my doc knew what she was talking about. I'm like wow turned out to be a blood clot. My baby girl is healthy and growing really well. She even turned on the ultrasound to show her hinny. Like see NA NA NA boo boo haha. I am so relieved.
I got amino done at 29 weeks when they found fluid around the baby's lung.. I handled it pretty good but they wanted to remove the fluid from around his lung so I got 2 needles =\ the second hurt the most cause they had to get in a good position but the amnio is straight in and done.. its quick you will be fine.. the amino is easy.. stings a little.. bring your partner.. it helped having mine there.
Trust me ill be asking so many questons theae people will be annoyed lol. Ill know the results in 2 weeks.
I would like to think that if her anatomy looks good then she's perfectly fine! Good luck hun i wish you the best!!! I personally couldn't have done that test your a strong woman! :)
No matter what she's my angel. After trying three years and a miscarriage. She's my gift. No matter what. I have a fibroid on my uterus and can cause things like down syndrome and spinal bifida *(spelling) on my ultrasounds she's measuring right and her anatomy looks great my doc says! I love her to pieces already and nothing or any information will change that.
Also remember that all tests are not 100 percent accurate! My MIL had the test your choosing to do, they got the results and told her that her little boy was going to have severe mental and physical problems. Keep trying to tell her it would be best to abort him, they were wrong there is nothing wrong with him he a happy perfectly healthy 5year old!!!
my drs wants me to have the test done because my daughter was at risk for cerebral palsy and seizures! (Because my husband has both) I flat out refused it and told them i would love her no matter what, disability or no disability! Shes perfectly healthy 14 month old!

Your a brave woman. I refused amnio even before I had the trans nuchal done. Good luck Hun, and remember to just breathe xx
When I had my ultrasound my doc said she was measuring great! And they said its my choice but they highly recommended I go! I will be asking alot of questions before they do anything! If I back out at the last minute so be it :/
I was high risk too my 1st was born with genetic problems that me nor her dad had but wen I was pregnant with her I always thought something was wrong...with my 2nd they wanted me to do an amnio. But I refused I felt like everything was fine..n sure enough I had a healthy lil boy who's now 13 months old n all over the place
I was told I was high risk for ds from the quad screening test.. not sure if that's the one you had? But like 90% get false positives.. that's what my dr told me.. so when they offered the amnio I refused because of the risks as well as I didn't care if my baby had anything I would still love her. At my gender scan I made my dr check all her organs and make sure everything was measuring/looking on point and he was also checking for any abnormalities.. said everything looked great.. my odds were 1:280.. he told me anything over 200 is awesome.. I know its nerve racking tho :( hope everything turns out okay for your little precious one! I delivered my healthy baby girl Friday night
