new doctor?

I have a dilemma with my current doctor/midwife situation. I am  31 weeks, due December 16th, and haven't been to a check up since the end if August (so roughly 2 months with no Dr's visits). I've been going to school Monday to Friday,.8-4:30 trying to get my dogwood diploma before baby comes. I've called my Dr's office a few times when I had a morning or afternoon off but they always say "sorry, we can't fit you in". My education plan is very tight in order for me to finish on time, I just feel like this clinic isn't trying to work with me whatsoever. There are about 4 midwives & 2 doctors, between the 6 if them they can't even make 15 minutes for me. I want to find a new doctor, but not sure if I should or not, and when I told the receptionist I felt that way she said I should absolutely find a new Dr. opinions please!

I think she is full of crap you need to try to talk to someone else there I would call and see if you can talk.to.the nurse or midwife or at least leave a message for them to contact you I have gotten in to my Dr really fast if I missed an appt or needed to change the appt date or times

Its not the midwives or Dr's, just the receptionist. I've called in a few times  always 24hrs-3 days in advance & she always says no. I wanted to talk to one of the midwives & tell them she always says no then recommended i find a different doctor or Clinic. I don't think they would be too happy to hear that, I'm sure she didn't ask them if they would be willing to squeeze me in, she just said no

If you're not comfortable with your doctor I would suggest getting a new one.. I have always had to schedule my apts a month ahead of time, that's how my doctor office does it.. You should be being seen once a month up till the end not sure exactly what week but then you go every two weeks and then once a week.. Good luck Hun..

I would definitely find a new doctor, or try to look at your school schedule and find a day where you don't have any exams or anything and schedule ahead of time.
