In the uk you get 2.. One at 12 weeks one at 20 weeks and thats that unless they think u need another which is only if they think theirs a prob x
I think it depends on your state and maybe insurance. I had one at 8.5 weeks, 20 weeks, 36 weeks, 39.1 weeks and 40.1 weeks. The ultrasound at 36 weeks was to see if he was head down, the 39.1 weeks u/s was to check fluid level because I was close to due date. The last one was just because I was one day overdue. I wasn't high risk and my lmp and baby's size were dead on each time.
I've only gotton one done and that was when I was 18 weeks.. they won't do any more unless there is a reason to check the baby.. which I think is ridiculous.. I've heard from many of my friends getting multiple u.s. and I've only had one. I'm now 35 weeks and I asked to do the 3d/4d u.s. and its too late to do that! They said I'm to far along they can't guarantee it will be a clear u.s. and they won't refund ur money.
They measure your fundus and monitor the heartbeat. My doc schedules you a 3d after 30 but before 36 weeks, it depends on your doc really. Id ask them at your next appointment
It depends on your doctor...mine has all the equipment in office, and it's all new technology. I had one at my first appointment to confirm pregnancy, another at 18 weeks to find out the gender, and I just had another at 29 weeks. And they did 3D/4D at the 18 and 29 week ultrasounds...just depends what your doc offers.
they measure from the outside of your belly to see if the weeks are the same as the mesurements, if not they may send you for ultrasound to see if baby is growing
So we only get two sonograms?
I had one at 39+5 only because of growth issues otherwise 20 week is it. If you go to a private doc and they have one in office they may do another but no guaranty
I wanted anther one and I'm 33w 4d and they told me the next time I'll see my baby is when she comes out
So how do they keep up with how the baby is growing and stuff? Sorry ftm .
I got a 32 week one with all pregnancies and. This is my third
Most doctor's wont do another unless your high risk
Unless there is a medical reason for one you won't get another one.
