I had an epidural with my last birth, and to be quite honest, I forgot all about the catheter. They put it in after I received my epidural, so I didn't feel a thing! But with my first, I went all natural, and I didn't receive a catheter. So, I guess the answer to your question is no, they don't always do a catheter.
;)
You are lucky! I got mine put in the night before epidural because my nurse was being abitch!
They put mine in after the epidural so it didn't burn or hurt for me.
And it burns like hell. When they put it in! And when they take it out. And the first time you pee after they take it out! Ugh i hate them but I have to get another one! Because I'm getting another c section
Goes up your pee hole so you can relieve yourself into a bag through that tube insteadof getting up and going to the bathroom by yourself.
I got a catheter with my other pregnancies. I had an epidural.
Epidural or c section usually. Catheter is this thing they such up your pee hole to collect your urine for you if you can't walk. Sorry for the lamen terms lol
i got a catheder n i was natural so i guess it depends
What's a catheter?
Sorry ftm.
Ok good lol I'm planning on going natural as long as I can hold out and I've never had a catheter before I'm a little afraid of it.
Yes that is only with the epidural.
Only if you get an epidural
