squeezing sensation in vagina

Im 38 weeks and a few times tonight ive experienced a really uncomfortable squeezing sensation in my vagina. My baby has been head down for several months and has been engaged for 3-4 weeks now. What is happenig to me?!

Sounds like a contraction to me.  It could be be real ones, not just braxton hicks, but that doesnt mean labor necissarily, but it will help you make progress though!

Will do thanks :) part of me is hoping its the start of labour and part of me is hoping its not lol.

I've been getting the same thing for a few days now and I'm 37+5 weeks. It  could be something as  simple as the baby moving further down in the birthing canal or it could be early signs of labour, as your classed as full term at 37 weeks. Just keep an eye on it and if you get to concered or worried call your midwife, just to be sure. If u do discover what it is let me know! Haha. X

Could just be baby moving further down or braxton hicks? If you find you have regular pains write down what time they start and how long they last for in case it may be early labour
